HEALING OUR CORE ISSUES - LEVEL 1
This four-day training will encompass a variety of teaching styles. It will include lecture, large and small group discussion and practicum.
The focus of this training is to introduce professionals to a broad overview of developmental and relational trauma and its impact on adult functioning. It will introduce the HOCI model which draws from the four theoretical orientations of Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, Core Issues Treatment informed by the work of Pia Mellody and Somatic body-based work. The practicum consists of working with your own family of origin history and trauma issues in a small group with a trained facilitator. After this training, you will have practical skills and ability to administer the Developmental and Relational Trauma Assessment (DART) that you can apply with your clients immediately.
The full cost of the workshop is $1000 with $300 non-refundable deposit being due at the time of registering for the workshop and $700 due 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the workshop.

HEALING OUR CORE ISSUES - LEVEL 2
This five-day intensive training will encompass lecture, video, large and small group discussion and practicum.
This course continues to deepen the understanding of all the material covered in the Level 1. It teaches the concepts and practice of Re-Parenting Your Historical Selves and Standing In Your Own Truth. In addition, it teaches how to manage trauma through the body. In this practicum each participant will, continue to work with their family of origin and trauma history.
A trained facilitator will be overseeing each small group as each group member has an opportunity to participate as both a client and therapist.
The full cost of the workshop is $1,300 with $400 deposit being due at the time of registering for the workshop and $900 due prior to the beginning of the workshop.

MEN'S INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
LOCATION: Mason, OH

This three-day Men's Intensive Workshop investigates the origins of adult dysfunctional behaviors. In this revolutionary educational and experiential workshop, participants learn to identify the childhood wounds which fuel adult dysfunction, i.e.: depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders and relationship difficulties. The focus is not on blaming caregivers; but rather healing the traumas (any less-than nurturing events). The workshop is based on the ground-breaking work of Pia Mellody and utilizes her treatment model (Post induction therapy).
The Workshop Includes The Following Phases:
Informational Phase - During this phase, participants will learn about boundaries and how, as a child, boundaries were possibly violated. Participants will begin to understand the relationship between the child and the adult as perceived by the child.
Debriefing Phase - This phase consists of delving into the past and recollecting less-than-nurturing and/or abusive childhood experiences and identifying associated feelings.
Experiential Phase - Guided by the therapist through a series of specific processes developed by Pia Mellody, participants will identify and begin to heal childhood wounds. In this safe and nurturing environment, clients release painful emotions and reclaim personal power.
Ongoing Recovery and Empowerment Strategies - Participants will receive a set of strategies, tools, and resources to make permanent these empowering principles in their daily lives.

COUPLES BOUNDARY WORKSHOP
LOCATION: CINCINNATI, OH
DATES: TBA
COST: $800 FOR THERAPISTS; $2,500 FOR COUPLES
This four-day intensive workshop will focus on the work of Pia Mellody and her understanding of the how “Internal Boundaries” functionally works in couple relationships. Alan Braverman, LCSW will work with three couples and go through their family of origin histories to see how their relationships have been impacted by their childhood relational trauma. Then, the couples will work with Alan each day for about an hour using their speaking and listening boundaries to work through issues in their relationship. All clients need to be familiar with the material presented in Pia Mellody’s book “The Intimacy Factor” and worked with their own Family of Origin trauma.
This workshop is open to therapists who have done some training in the Post Induction/Healing Our Core Issues model and would like to deepen their experience in using this model with their clients. All therapists will be observing in a fish bowl style.
The Couples Boundary Workshop dates will be announced. Hours from 8:30 am until 5 pm each day.

CONSULTATION GROUPS
LOCATION: Via Zoom

COST: $100 Per Month

For those who want to complete the certificate program a minimum of 24 hours of consultation is required. This allows the participants an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the HOCII model and apply it to current cases.
This is a small group of 4 - 6 participants who meet on a telephone bridge line or Zoom, a videoconferencing program, for 2 hours monthly with an approved consultant.
A minimum of 6 hours IS RECOMMENDED to continue on to level 2 training. When all 24 hours are completed, participants will receive their certificate once all documentation has been submitted and approved. Ongoing consultation is recommended.
The cost for a 2-Hour Consultation Group delivered via videoconferencing call is $100 per month.
